Cannondale have entered
the carbon mountain bike fray again with the
Cannondale Rush Carbon 1. This is one awesome looking
bike that comes from legendary bike makers Cannondale.
The Rush range was introduced to fit into the emerging
endurance race market where suspension
suspension and low weight are required. This simple
single pivot design is perfect for the weight
conscious endurance racer and a good design to get the
carbon make over. Superior design and manufacturing
techniques have been used on the Rush Carbon to shave
weight off while increasing rider control and
strength.
There are a range of
models using this frame with a mix of Shimano and Sram
components. The swingarm is still made of aluminum but
has been tweaked to improve stiffness.
US racer and mountain
biking legend Tinker Juarez has been riding the Rush
model for a while. But he is eagerly awaiting the
arrival of his new Rush Carbon in September 2006.
