Marathon Full Suspension
It
seems like everybody and their sub-brand are
going back to Single Pivot designs? Why?
Well, there are some very obvious reasons
for using this design: 1. Lightweight 2. Low
( No ) maintenance 3. Improved suspension
systems available on the market 4. Proven!
Raleigh says
"Whilst many are introducing their first
single-pivot suspension frames, we are
already onto our 3rd generation frame and
definitely our best yet. We’ve added some
gusseting to our rear triangle for increased
durability ( not everybody is a sub 70kg
race snake after all ) and once again
specced our bikes with the best bang for
your rands!"
Whether you

Trail Range
After
the overwhelming success of the 2007 Trail
Range Raleigh added a further 5 models to
the range for 2008!
Not happy to
just revise the graphics, the new line
features new frame designs, lighter weights
and even more value than before.
Raleigh says
"Starting with our top 3 models ( Namib,
Dakar , Canyon ) we developed an all-new
Custom Butted 7005 Series Alloy frame. The
Namib is the new flagship and is definitely
blurring the lines between the “do anything,
hit the dirt “ Trail range and the “
Race-ready out the box” Elite range.
Further there
are 3 new lady-specific models. For adults
we have the Sahara model which offers a
24-Speed Shimano drivetrain with a
women-specific frame design and a Suntour
suspension fork complete with lockout
function. For younger ladies we have the
Starlet models available in 21-Speed 24”
version as well as a 6-Speed 20” version. "
So, whatever
your budget or needs, there is a bike for
you! As usual Raleigh challenges competitors
as they once again raise the bar for
value-for-money bicycles.
