Tomac is back in
2007 with new models and energy
The
relaunch that started in 2006 aims to restart the
brand from the ground up and that means all new
everything, new marketing, new focus and new
products. The company has re-focused to create a
company that truly reflects the legacy of John Tomac.
Tomac and Bradbury remain actively involved in the
company and the design of its products. In April
2007, the Tomac brand introduced two new suspension
bicycles to the media at the Sea Otter Classic: the
CarbideXC a
carbon-framed XC model with 90mm of travel and the
Snyper140 an aluminum-framed trail bike with 140mm of travel. A
new DH frame is still in development, to be launched
later in 2007.
John
Tomac - MTB Legend
John Tomac started racing at the age of seven,
now a retired professional cyclist he competed in
multiple disciplines in road racing and mountain
biking during a successful senior career that
spanned twenty years. He is regarded as a mountain
biking icon and was inducted into the Mountain Bike
Hall of Fame in 1991. He is a true all-rounder,
having won major national and international titles
in four disciplines. from the

Uberlegend John Tomac, mountain biking's O.G.
(Original Gangsta) and winner of nearly every
off-road title under the sun recently announced
he'll be making his own mountain bikes with long
time collaborator and inventor of the Manitou
suspension fork, Doug Bradbury.
Currently the U.S.
National Downhill Champion, Johnny T. is fully
committed to full suspension mountain bikes and will
be producing a three bike freestyle line under the
label of, hold on to your hats, Tomac Bicycles. The
line will reportedly consist of an 8' long travel
downhill bike, a "freeride" type of FS bike and a FS
cross-country model.
